The course aims to support you as you progress towards more senior practitioner level and beyond and provides a framework within which you can acquire and demonstrate both generic transferable competencies and those specific to your area of practice.

Students completing this course in 1 year will have their modules taught in person. King’s College London is located in the heart of London, across five campuses, Waterloo, Strand, St Thomas’ and Guy’s and Denmark Hill. If opting for face-to-face learning this course is primarily taught at the King’s College London Waterloo Campus.

If opting for a part-time 2- or 3-year course, this is delivered in a hybrid way, with both online delivery for core modules and the opportunity for some optional modules to be taken on campus if you wish. Online elements are delivered online primarily via our Virtual Learning Environment. The programme also has a range of optional modules taught in a variety of modes – some online, some in-person at our London campuses, and some which use the Hyflex mode which allows students taking the module online and students attending in-person to learn together and interact with one another. The location will therefore vary dependent on the modules you study.

Whether you want to focus on a particular clinical field or develop a wider knowledge in different clinical pathways, this course features a range of optional (elective) modules to choose from and is a great way to broaden your career prospects.

Completing the course will help you to develop your existing skillset and deepen your knowledge of contemporary issues in healthcare both in the UK and internationally. It will also enable you to influence service delivery and effect change in your own area of clinical practice.

If you are an international student, there is an opportunity for you to travel to the UK to observe clinical practice in one of our London-based partner hospitals.
