This course offers suitably qualified health sciences practitioners with the opportunity to develop their skills in teaching, assessment, curriculum design and research. The student teacher will learn in both simulated and professional practice contexts, which are underpinned by the philosophy of interdisciplinary learning. This results in teachers who are thoughtful, self-critical and more importantly, prepared for the challenges of teaching within higher education. Nurses and midwives who successful complete the M.Sc. in Clinical Health Sciences Education will be eligible to apply for registration as a nurse tutor (RNT) with The Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
