The M.A.T. program in Mathematics Education prepares candidates with no prior teaching experience, to teach math in K-12 schools. This program consists of 49 semester hours of coursework, but additional coursework may be advised to render the candidate’s baccalaureate degree equivalent to one from the University of Iowa.
