Deepen and accentuate your knowledge in literary and cultural studies after your Bachelor’s degree, transfer theories and methods to compelling classics and contemporary texts, explore and discuss medial characteristics, cultural contexts and transcultural dimensions of literary text production, and as you do so develop and sharpen your own scientific profile: That’s what the Master’s course Anglophone Literatures, Cultures and Media has to offer. The three major fields Literature and Media Culture, Literature and Cultural History, and Transcultural Anglophone Studies are dedicated to historical, political, philosophical and artistic developments in Anglophone literatures and cultures – with an eye for detail as well as the big picture. The two years Master’s course ALCM, taught entirely in English, focuses on literary, cultural and media studies and specialises in literary studies in its historical context, cultural communication, cultural memory, intermediality and key concepts in media studies and other central themes in Anglophone literatures and cultures in close contact with the newest research.
