Georgia Southern’s Master of Science in Applied Physical Science is a terminal professional degree that prepares graduates for the workplace by giving them real-world experience in applying their knowledge of physical science to projects of interest to the business, government, and nonprofit sectors. Students gain a deeper understanding of the science used in their fields, as well as receiving a solid grounding in business fundamentals and communications, thus, preparing them to become leaders in the business aspects of science. Students can choose between a Professional Science Master’s option, a traditional terminal thesis option, or a non-thesis and select an interdisciplinary concentration area of either environmental science, material and coatings science, and pharmaceutical science. The Master of Science in Applied Physical Science program requires 30 hours of course work (36 hours for Professional Science Master’s or Non-Thesis).
