The Emory University School of Medicine Physician Assistant Program is a dynamic program emphasizing active learning centered on the six competencies defined by the profession. This program uses a fully integrated curriculum stressing evidence-based medicine, decision making, and the provision of health care to all individuals while being sensitive to the social determinants of health and wellness. Using learning societies and early patient contact, the program reinforces team-based care, patient advocacy, and the acquisition of clinical skills supported by faculty mentors at all stages of the curriculum.
