Current research areas are signal and image processing, artificial intelligence, machine learning, electronics, optics, acoustics, electromagnetics, nanotechnology, robotics, telecommunications and networks, biomedical engineering, neuroscience, and system and control theory. The department emphasizes research with the support of excellent laboratories, computing facilities, and libraries. These facilities are continuously upgraded through various grants from national and international resources. Currently there are image processing, signal processing, optics, electronics, telecommunications, robotics and control, microwaves and antennas, nanophotonics, and biomedical laboratories.
