What is Cultural Fit?

Cultural fit means feeling like you belong in the school you have chosen. To be able to succeed in your study program, it’s really important to feel at home in the community. However, defining and measuring culture is not easy for prospective students. This is why Unimy’s Cultural Fit Test is the first of its kind to help university applicants find the Master’s program with the right cultural environment.

What do my results mean?

The unique exploratory process will present you with the top three graduate schools that closely reflect your cultural expectations. You can browse the full list of Master’s programs offered by the university within your preferred field of study.

How long does the test take?

It takes less than five minutes to complete the survey. All questions are closed ended and ask you to imagine your ideal graduate school environment.

How do you use my answers?

We analyze your responses using a scale with six cultural dimensions. We compare your results with the cultural profiles of 10,000 leading universities to filter the top three that fit your expectations.

What is the methodology of the Cultural Fit Test?

The methodology rests on comprehensive research in organizational behavior and industrial psychology. The dataset consists of globally accredited universities and graduate schools ranked by Times Higher Education, ARWU, and URAP. The test uses six dimensions to measure school culture. We worked with the well-known framework of the GLOBE Project (House et al. 1996, 2004) to create four dimensions. The other two are unique to Unimy and Unimy Masters, thanks to the expert work of our researchers.
