
In this online course serial entrepreneurs Michael Stonebraker and Andy Palmer will share their years of start-up experience in six (not so) easy steps to teach you how to start your own business. They will also talk about the lessons they have learned during their start-up endeavours over a period of 30 years. The lessons are distilled into six steps that any entrepreneur can follow to get a company up and going.
About the Course
The topics of the course will include the generation and assessment of ideas, the challenges of building a prototype, the recruitment of a talented team, the closing of the first financing round, and the pursuit of growth with the right business leadership.
What you'll learn to do:
- Assess product ideas for rapid development and commercialisation.
- Understand the start-up team, develop partnerships, and produce a prototype.
- Prepare and evaluate strategies to identify and court the vital first few customers.
- Anticipate organisational challenges to motivating and leading the start-up team.
- Develop key steps toward making a pitch and negotiating a deal with Venture Capitalists or Seed Investors.
