24 monthsThe MS ES program is intended for students who have completed a BS degree in Environmental Science or in allied fields. The program fosters a holistic understanding of the environment and its related issues. Scientific and technical concepts in the field will be further developed, equipping students with technical skills in identifying, analyzing and developing innovative solutions to environmental problems and link environmental research to policy, economic and/or social issues. Other courses such as law and policy, ethics, culture, and economics are also offered to contextualize technical knowledge with social perspectives. While the program focuses on scientific & technical aspects of the environment, it also provides for perspectives from social sciences and ethics. Technical courses are complemented by electives oriented towards management & the social sciences. The curriculum is not limited to the concerns of each discipline, but is designed to be "solution-oriented".
